SARRALLE automates the CTL and packaging lines for CORTICHAPA

The company CORTICHAPA, specialist in flat products and belonging to the GRUPO COMERCIAL DE LAMINADOS (CDL) has awarded SARRALLE the commissioning and automation of its cutting and packaging lines, with the aim of modernizing and increasing the production capacity. It is the first project that SARRALLE accomplishes for the CDL Group and works are scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

 

SARRALLE will execute the engineering, equipment manufacturing and assembly work for CORTICHAPA, as well as the start-up at its facilities. Considering that some cutting lines have been in halt for several years, SARRALLE will renovate the plant with the challenge of adapting them to the requirements of the current market.

 

It is a turnkey project where SARRALLE - through its different divisions - will be responsible for the design of equipment and software, as well as the manufacturing of the mechanical and electrical part, including the assembly, supervision and start-up of the equipment supplied.

 

The performance includes the automation of existing machines, the supply of the new equipment for the three lines of longitudinal cut, two lines of transversal cutting of galvanized steel sheet and cold rolled along with a packaging line of coils of the same material, equipping them with new functions.

 

The improvement in the automated equipment will support the operators to implement their work in a more safety and efficient way.
