New Waste Treatment Project in UK

SARRALLE Environment & Energy, the division of SARRALLE Group specialized in Waste Treatment, Water and Energy projects, has been awarded to design, manufacture and supervise the erection of the New Waste to Energy Gasification Project in UK.

The plant will be operational in the second half of 2021. However, SARRALLE will deliver the equipment by the end of the current year.

SARRALLE feels proud to be involved in this type of waste gasification project in which some of the sector’s leading companies come to fruition demonstrating the collective drive, which is helping to shape the future of the energy in the world.

The recovery of the waste contributes fully into the paradigm shift from a linear economic model to a circular model, which affects all productive sectors and allows not only to reuse a source of profitable energy or raw materials, such as waste, but to contribute to environmental sustainability (allowing the production process to be closed in a sustainable manner by reusing all the elements of the procedure). In fact, waste management and subsequent recovery of waste is one of the main lines of action of SARRALLE in the environmental sector.

Among the waste to energy generation projects (using solid waste as fuel) executed within this business area of SARRALLE, it can be highlighted the following achievements:

  • The expansion of the Ventaa Incinerator (Finland)
  • Modernization of the Sant Adriá del Besos Incinerator (Barcelona - Spain)
  • Participation in the Zubieta Incinerator (Gipuzkoa - Spain)
