SARRALLE Environment & Energy is very proud to announce the start up of the Phase I ( 2022 ) and the new order for the Phase II of the Treatment and Recovery of Steel Mill Slag for Phoenix Services at Acerinox Palmones ( Spain ) .
The Treatment and Recovery of Steel Mill Slag is still one of the most challenging operational process . The stainless steel slag contains chromium and iron and consequently , an efficient recovery of these valuable components has potential environmental and economical profit.
The current cutting-edge technology for the recovery of these metals is comprised of two processes:
Crushing Plant ( CP ) : Phase I of the project finished in June 2022 , is the process in which the slag is crushed and classified.
Metal Recovery Plant ( MRP ) : Phase II of the project ordered in March 2023 , is the process in which the fines metals are recovered and an aggregate product is produced.
The turnkey project includes the design, engineering, automatization & control, mechanical equipment, manufacturing, civil works, commissioning and start-up of the Metal Recovery Plant and Acerinox Palmones (Spain) will count with the state-of-the-art equipment, operated by experts like Phoenix Services and ensuring SARRALLE is providing the best solution for the most efficient waste treatment plant. With this new plant, Acerinox will be able to treat 70T/h stainless steel slag.

SARRALLE Environment & Energy se enorgullece de anunciar la puesta en marcha de la Fase I ( 2022 ) y el nuevo pedido para la Fase II de la Planta de Tratamiento y Recuperación de la Escoria de Acería para Phoenix Services en Acerinox Palmones ( España ).
El Tratamiento y Recuperación de la Escoria de Acería sigue siendo uno de los procesos operativos más desafiantes a desarrollar. La escoria del acero inoxidable contiene cromo y hierro y por ello, una recuperación de estos valiosos componentes tiene potenciales beneficios medioambientales y económicos.
La actual tecnología más puntera para la recuperación de estos metales incluye dos procesos:
Planta de Trituración : Fase I del proyecto finalizado en Junio de 2022 y es el proceso en el que la escoria se tritura y se clasifica en distintas granulometrías.
Planta de recuperación de Metales: Fase II del proyecto adjudicado en Marzo de 2023 y es el proceso en el que se recuperan metales pesados y se produce un material agregado .
El proyecto llave en mano incluye el diseño, ingeniería, automatización y control, equipos mecánicos, fabricación, obra civil, montaje y puesta en marcha de la planta de recuperación de los metales y Acerinox Palmones (España) contará con el equipo de última generación, operado por expertos como Phoenix Services y con la garantía de que Sarralle está brindando la mejor solución para la planta de tratamiento de residuos más eficiente. Con esta nueva planta, Acerinox podrá procesar 70T/H de escorias de acero inoxidable.
