The SURFIN is an automated surface inspection system created to carry out 100% quality control in hot (1100 ºC) and cold continuous process lines. This technology allows to detect surface defects such as cracks, folds, scratches, holes and roll marks. Automatic surface inspection system is based on artificial vision capable of detecting defects in real time, on the same point as they occur, at temperatures above 1000 ºC and rolling speed up to 10m/s.
