Sarralle Rolling Mill is proud to announce the award of a Variable Configuration Cut-Off saw at Sunflag Iron and Steel (India).

Sunflag Iron and Steel is a prestigious unit of the SUNFLAG GROUP. The plant is located in the central part of India at Bhandara, Maharashtra, 70 kms from Nagpur, with a capacity to produce 500,000 tonnes per annum of high-quality special steel using liquid pig iron and sponge iron as basic inputs.

The Variable Configuration of the Cut-Off saw is part of the hot rolling mill area, located at the exit. Sarralle is one of the pioneers in designing this type of equipment to cut layers of bars, giving the option to cut bars alternatively with abrasive wheel (dry cutting) or with metallic blade (wet cutting).

The steel manufacturers will be able to obtain better cutting quality with abrasive cutting for high added valued steels. In case the final user opts to reduce the operational cost with a metallic blade, the alternative will be possible as the Variable configuration Cut-Off saw provides the possibility of both types of cutting techniques in the same machine.

Sarralle is not only designing the device, but also will manufacture, assembly and commission it shortly. The delivery of the equipment is expected to be by the end of 2021.

This is not our first project with Sunflag, as we already supported them in the Meltshop are with Sarralle Melting Plant business line.

Sunflag Iron and Steel es una prestigiosa unidad del SUNFLAG GROUP. La planta está ubicada en la parte central de la India en Bhandara, Maharashtra, a 70 kms de Nagpur, con una capacidad para producir 500.000 toneladas anuales de acero especial de alta calidad utilizando arrabio líquido y hierro de reducción directa como insumos básicos.

La Cortadora de Configuración Variable es parte del área del tren de laminación en caliente, ubicada a la salida. Sarralle es uno de los pioneros en diseñar este tipo de equipos para cortar capas de barras, dando la opción de cortar barras alternativamente con disco abrasivo (corte seco) o con disco metálico (corte húmedo).

Los fabricantes de acero podrán obtener una mejor calidad de corte con corte abrasivo para aceros de alto valor añadido. En caso de que el usuario final opte por reducir el costo operacional con un disco metálico, la alternativa será posible ya que la Sierra de Configuración Variable brinda la posibilidad de ambos tipos de técnicas de corte en la misma máquina.

Sarralle no solo está diseñando el dispositivo, sino que también lo fabricará, ensamblará y pondrá en marcha en breve. Se espera que la entrega del equipo sea a fines de 2021.

Este no es nuestro primer proyecto con Sunflag, ya que colaboramos en la parte de acería con la línea de negocio de Sarralle Melting Plant.
